My own sense — and reading how you write about photography makes me think perhaps this applies to you as well — is that the thing that drew some us to street photography (perhaps the greats of Life Magazine and Magnum) was actually a fine art sensibility. And within today’s streets are an opportunity to touch in on the style of those greats, but stops short of scratching the deeper itch to explore more personal and comcept-driven themes.
